The HOPS/HIPS evaluation project is a project I do with students to end the Evaluation and Assessment unit before reviewing for their exam. I allow students to work with ONE partner. They're responsible for splitting up the evaluation evenly and presenting it to the class. This is something we do when we're finishing the unit and not breaking down specific joints yet. I give students 1 (47 minute) class period to prepare for this. The next two days is when students present it to the class.

Students will research a health related career and present it to the class. I've included a checklist, outline, a career list, and a rubric for the students. I also included a teacher rubric to help make grading easier. I usually give students 6-7 class periods (47 minute periods) to complete this project before presenting to the class. I like to assign a random career to each student so they aren't presenting the same thing. I do this at the end of the school year when students are checked out!
