I've created a writing sample/activity specific rubric. It has visual supports and student friendly wording for self assessment. Teachers can label it with the type of writing and their requirements for the work. Students and teachers can mark the 1-3 point rubric on the following areas: Topic Idea, Sentence Detail, Length of Work, Handwriting, Capitalization, and Writing the words. I needed a more specific rubric to assess my students writing and I think for now this might fit the bill! H
