Description
This is a rubric I created for my first grade class to use as a checklist before they turn in work to me. It is not something they must fill out every time they write, but more of a checklist that they review before turning work in. They keep this sheet in their binder so that they can review it when they do their homework as well. It has multiple components, but I have found that their handwriting has improved dramatically because they know exactly what I am looking for and are now more purposeful in their writing strokes. I hope this works as well for you as it has for me!
