Religious illiteracy is common in the US. This book (It's Considerate to Be Literate about Religion: Poetry and Prose about Religion, Conflict, and Peace in Our World), strives to use diversity, equity, and inclusion values to counter that illiteracy with an in-depth but very accessible reivew of the American Academy of Religion's tenets of religions literacy in secondary (and adult) education. See also the associated with "Topics and Questions for Further Discussion" that accompany the book.
