I've taught first and second grades in a public school setting, as well as preschool in a private one. Now I homeschool my two children, as well as lead a history club for middle- and high-school students, plan field trips for a homeschool group, and organize monthly book club meetings for both kids and their friends.
I think that learning should be fun and exciting! Children obtain and process information through their senses, so the more senses that are involved in any given activity, the more they will be able to relate and be engaged in their learning. I strive to help children think critically about their education and take ownership for their activities and their learning.
Yet to be added
I graduated cum laude from Juniata College in 2001 with a BS in early education/elementary education with history.
