TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught kindergarten, second and fourth grade as a classroom teacher. I was also a reading specialist for elementary students pre-kindergarten to fifth grade and at a high school ninth to twelfth grade. I am currently and instructional coach in an urban school for grades pre-kindergarten to fifth grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I feel my teach style adapts to the group of student I have each year. Each group of students is different and needs different things from me as a teacher.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My shining moment is whenever a student accidently calls me "Mom"! I love that knowing they feel comfortable with me and at home :)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and my Masters degree in Language and Literacy with certifcations in English as a Second Langauge (ESL) and Reading Specialist. Both of these certifications are K-12.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love to coach and support classroom teachers as well as pull small intervention groups during my work day. Love gardening and hanging out with my husband and son during during free time.
