Composition: “Cymbalism” is composed as an introduction to cymbals at the elementary school level. Written in 4/4 with one Snare Drum, one Bass Drum, a set of Crash Cymbals, a Suspended Cymbal, and as many Finger Cymbals as you have remaining students it displays the importance of all types of cymbals, especially the Finger Cymbals. Transposition Wheel - Instrumental Music/Composition/Arranging
This is something I made for myself to have on my podium as a quick transposition reference if I needed it. It's also helpful when arranging music for students. You can twist the wheels around to line up concert C with the transposed pitch (Bb, Eb, F, etc.) to easily reference transposed notes. Students who play transposing instruments can easily use these as well.

The Crane
Composition: “The Crane” was written for two sets of Concert Toms and Bass Drum. Composed in 5/4 meter it is a challenge for the beginning Percussionist. Not only is the meter a challenge, but the focus is also on playing as an ensemble. Rehearsal marks are made to teach the form in the music. “The Crane” pictures a crane wading through the marsh on a hunt for tiny fish.

Composition: “Chopsticks” is a well-known musical composition for keyboard instruments. I have arranged it for two xylophones and a marimba for a grade 1 difficulty for beginning players.
