This is a very good activity for students to solidify what they know about the properties of kites, trapezoids, parallelogram, quadrilateral, rectangle, rhombus and square. Activity includes 21 cards to sort, student directions and student answer sheet. This is a great activity for partners, as it facilitates lots of good discussion.

Point-Slope Form Turkey Hunt (Thanksgiving)
use this activity with your students to practice Point-Slope form. Worksheet comes as an excel file with different options. You can have students draw given lines that hit each of the graphics on graph and find the intersecting point OR have students create their own lines that hit each of the graphics and write an equation for those lines.

The objective is to have the students understand that the definitions they have been studying for years have a logical form that can be identified. Specifically, the students need to be able to identify the form of a conditional statement, the form of its converse, any counterexamples the converse may have and what constitutes a definition.
