TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Since graduating college, I have worked with children who have average or above average intelligence but also emotional and behavioral challenges. I currently work at The Sonia Shankman Orthogenic School in Chicago, IL, a residential and therapeutic milieu program. I am a certified special education teacher in the math content classroom.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a strong believer in using Project Based Learning with my special learners! We can do rote learning until our eyes bleed but never learn to apply the skills unless we actually practice it. It is amazing to watch my kiddos thrive and blossom when they are given the freedom to explore.
