This worksheet shows a cross-section of an animal cell. Students are to use the word bank to write the correct word next to each definition. There are five words and five definitions. I use this with my 7th and 8th graders who work on an alternate curriculum. This is also a great review for homework.

Modified Physical and Chemical Change Cut and Paste; Special Ed
This is a 2-page worksheet for students in an inclusive science class learning about the physical and chemical changes. I used this for my 6th grade students who learn at about a first grade level.
The worksheet has two columns on the first page. One is labeled physical reactions and the other is labeled chemical reactions. There are six reactions on the second page. Students are to cut these reactions (with picture clues) out and paste them in the correct column of the chart on the first page

Quiet Please! A Noise Pollution Activity
Students conduct an activity to determine the most effective way to control noise using shoe boxes and sound-absorbing materials. In groups, students will use one of 8 materials assigned by the teacher to sound-proof the inside of a shoebox. They will place a timer inside the box and test how far away the ringing can be heard, record the results, and then graph the data gathered.

This data sheet lets you share information about testing with parents at parent conferences. Students learn about the pH scale by discovering common examples of substances with different pH values. Students use the Internet to search substances with specific pH values, then draw and label those substances in the worksheet. Students then color the given pH scale reflected in pH indicator paper.

This is a worksheet that works well with weather.com because it is similar to the format on that website. It has sections for weather "right now", "today" and "tonight" along with "tomorrow's weather" and a section that asks what you should wear tomorrow. This is great for elementary as well as middle and high school special education. I use it for my students with moderate/severe autism. The visuals are great!
