A great tool to encourage students to review books after reading. It's a way for students to engage in dialogue about different texts and if they would recommend their friends to read them. Students rate the book out of 5 stars after reading and answer a few questions. I have my students post their Take a Look at my Book Reviews in our classroom library. Once other students start reading what their peers are saying about a certain book or author, it gets them excited about reading!

Book tastings are a fun and engaging way to get kids to try new books! I used this as an after-school activity but it could easily be used in a reading class or any class where a book is being picked. We dressed up as waitresses and gave students this menu. We had the books preselected on a cart. Students can circle what books they want and then put their order in. This product is a tasting menu that you can edit to use for your program. *It is a publisher file.
