Random Acts of Kindness Week - Daily Mission Cards

Celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week with your students! Print the mission cards and distribute them to your students. Each day your students will have a different mission (give someone a compliment, do something nice for someone, etc.). The cards have a spot for the students to write down the name of who they shared their kindness with, how that made that person feel, and how that made the student (themselves) feel. There is a different mission for each day of the week. Each page has fou

Group Counseling Pass - Editable

Use this (editable!) pass for students who are apart of your counseling group. List student name, homeroom, location of group, dates of group, time of group -- all in one place! Tip: share with students that counseling is most helpful when a person is committed to the process. Therefore, they will only receive one pass (to get in their agenda) and are encouraged to remember to attend weekly meetings without ongoing reminders. I have a 95% success rate with this approach.

I created a Tier II intervention that is a spin off of Check in Check Out. I create two teams of 5-6 students. They get the card filled out like a CICO card daily. Each day we add up the points of each team and on Friday mornings, we see who won. The winning team won gym time, ice cream, or some agreed upon reward. The one student from each team that had the highest score got a Leader of the Pack certificate, and a positive phone call home. The students push each other to do the "right" things

This resource is provided as an editable word document. Cards can be printed and cut out to serve as prompts to help students identify unhelpful thoughts. I use this while doing the Trauma Narrative component of TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), but it can be used in any kind of counseling to help students articulate their unhelpful thoughts. I find that many students have difficulty verbalizing what they are thinking, but they are able to point to a card with their unhelp

Quick print item that can be used on a student's desk to display and let teacher/staff know that a student is in need of a break. Great for kids who love pizza as it is very visual and kids enjoy using it. Great for preventing emotional build ups.
