Wreck of the Hesperus
There are four parts:
1. The poem
2. The smartboard file of broken up poem to go over with students
3. The close reading Hesperus File
4. The Common Core Standards
I have the students listen to the poem (link in smartboard lesson), than we talk about it. I have them listen again and take notes on the close reading paper (in pencil).

R.A.P (Restate Answer Prove) Presentation
We are discussing the importance of RAP in classes as opposed to just giving an answer. You can say a lot in less time by restating what your question is and then answering it, or proving it with evidence.
