This movie is a must in my public speaking class. I use this movie to preface our debate unit as well as to demonstrate how public speaking is not just a required course, but a useful tool that can motivate and inspire people.
Viewing guide includes comprehension questions surrounding the movie's action as well as objective-based questions (summary, text structure, etc.).
Such a great resource for any public speaking class or unit. This movie relates to the civil rights movement as well.

This show has so much going for it: positive representation of a diverse cast, representation of how to set boundaries in relationships, the importance of communication in any relationship. Fairytale and Fable Unit Game: Name that Allusion! for Shrek
This handout is designed as a fun classroom activity that also teaches students about genre-specific allusions. While students view the movie *Shrek,* they use this handout to spot allusions to fairy tales, fables, and pop culture. This worksheet handout is from the show, "Brain Games" and is particularly helpful when you are teaching a communication unit because it discusses language. On Amazon Prime it is Season 4, Episode 3. The students watch the episode and answer the questions. Then you can go over the answers and have a group or class discussion about it because I the answer key is included.
