Students will be given a set of cards with linear equations on them. Students will have to sort them based on whether the two lines are parallel, perpendicular, or neither. Some of the lines need to be solved for y. Once the are sorted, students will flip them over and do the word scramble. Each group represents one word. After unscrambling the words, they will fill in the blanks to a quote.

I would cut the cards and fold them over so one side had the question, the other had the answer. For example, on the first day of school as students enter the room, give them a shape card. They must find the desk with the same shape, same color.
