Five-Day Creative Writing Bell Work Week 10-18
The second quarter / nine weeks of creative writing bell work including two days' SAT vocabulary, a weekly creative-writing concept (like literary devices) with a day of application and a weekly journal. This bell work will help your student expand their knowledge while getting settled into class for the day. The fifth day is optional as this was originally made for a four-day school week.The last two days are left blank to account for finals week/last week of school.

Creative Writing Task Cards
The following is a ppt of 71 Creative Writing Prompts for high school students. Each slide features a single prompt, sentence starter, idea or a scenario for a creative writing exercise.
Suggestion: Besides displaying the prompt as a ppt on the screen, these can be printed and made into flash cards as well.
For my classroom, I printed this ppt document in color on card-stock paper, with the two slides per page option, and laminated them. This is a great way of making writing flash cards.

Character Types Foldable
This is a great tool to help your students remember the different character types: round, flat, static, dynamic, protagonist, antagonist, etc. The foldables come with instructions on what to do. It has them write the word on the outside of the strip, then on the inside of the flap they draw pictures and write definitions. It's already put together. Just print it out and they are good to go into the hands of your students.
