TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching various students, various subjects, at various levels (preschool to college) for the last ten years. During those ten years, I have completed two masters programs, American Studies and Reading Education, my P.hD. in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on Urban Literacy, and have received the honor of becoming National Board Certified. I am currently certified in Reading K-12, language arts 6-8, social studies 6-8 and family and consumer studies. I may not always know what I am talking about but I try to find people who do. All the ideas I put on this site are research based and work to help your students become authentically motivated to succeed. Any corrections are always appreciated, ideas are solicited, and compliments are greatly rewarded.

MY TEACHING STYLE

“Looking at the past must only be a means of understanding more clearly what and who they are so that they can more wisely build the future.” ― Paulo Freire, Pedagogy of the Oppressed
