Animals in Winter Matching Activity

These picture cards feature real-life photos of specific animals in winter (penguin, grouse, rabbit, owl, deer and fox). Print the pages back-to-back with the snowflakes on one side and photos on the other. Print two sets to engage in a matching activity. I printed on white cardstock and laminated them for durability. You can also just print one set and use the photos in a writing center or hidden inside a sensory bin filled with cotton balls.

I've used these flash cards to help my student during the revising process. We pull these out to strengthen their rough draft by revising their sentences. Note I just printed out the cards with a white background and then glued them to card stock to make them durable. You can also laminate them for long term use.
