Plants: Lesson 8: Pollination & Angiosperm Reproduction
Students explore pollination and angiosperm reproduction by looking at real flowers, playing online games, reading stories, drawing and more. As a brain break, students also have a run-around scavenger hunt to review previous plant information.
This lesson may take 2-3 class periods, depending on how long your class periods are. I did this in 2 90 minute periods. That being said, there are additional relevant do-nows, hooks etc. included at the end so you can rearrange each day as you like.

Nabokov: Good Readers and Good Writers - SMARTBoard Presentation
In 1948 Vladimir Nabokov gave a series of lectures at Cornell University on various pieces of classic literature. His opening lecture called "Good Readers and Good Writers" has become a useful classroom tool in helping students develop a plan for reading difficult classic literature.
