Literary Devices Introduction SmartBoard
A way to make literary devices fun! This SmartBoard presentation helps students understand key literary/ dramatic devices. Students are first given the term and examples, then guess to figure out what the device might be. Following, the teacher pulls in the definition (hidden with arrows) and additional (more literary) examples. Links are provided to show examples for several of the devices. (A "link" image appears next to the object linked.)

Wuthering Heights Grammar Passages
This SMARTnotebook product contains 3 passages from Wuthering Heights that contain 10 grammatical errors. Students are to make corrections to the passages. Then, the next slide contains the corrected version and a question for literary analysis where students answer the question using textual evidence (quotes).
Answers are provided for the grammatical errors, but not for the passages for literary analysis.

Introductory lesson for the Notice and Note signpost, Tough Questions. Includes linked Powtoon video to introduce the concept, plus linked videos to relate to the students' own experience using movie clips. Also included is a slide reviewing how we use sticky notes to record annotations that answer the anchor question, using additional guiding questions as a means to make students think more deeply about the text.
