This fun project on consumer topics originally created to be used as a "holiday shopping project". It has now been made generic for any time of the year, but is easily customizable. It is a great way to assess a unit over percent proportions.

This worksheet has students write and solve inequalites. Students tend to get confused when the inequality says more than, a maximum, at least etc. This worksheet takes one problem and re-words it in 6 differnet ways. This is a one day activity. Students learn about deposits and withdrawls and the consequences of cashing a bad check. They are required to keep a check book accurately and there are pretend checks for the students to practice with.
