Vocabulary Puzzles for Latin for the New Millennium I Chapters 13-21
The Vocabulary Puzzle is intended to be students' first encounter with the Vocabulary to Learn in a given chapter of Latin for the New Millennium, Level I. I give them the puzzle before they've looked at the reading passage or the vocabulary list. They are supposed to try to use their prior knowledge to match up Latin words with their English meanings. Latin Verb Synopsis (Full)
This verb synopsis sheet gives students a chance to review all the variations of regular Latin verbs. They can view all three moods along with infinitives and participles on one page. This allows them to see the connections between different forms: how the imperfect and pluperfect subjunctives take their stems from the corresponding infinitives, for instance, or how the perfect passive and future active infinitives are built on the corresponding participles.
