Whole or Small Group Creative and Critical Thinking Skill Enrichment Grade 1
The attached is an Active Inspire flipchart that has 36 slides addressing the skills of fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration, analysis, evaluation, synthesis. There are three book suggestions within the slides to help illustrate creative thoughts and unique brainstorming examples.
The activities were designed as whole group, brainstorming centered things but can be done in small groups or printed out for children to do independently.

Adjectives
This active-inspire presentation will help you teach the meaning of adjectives. Go through the flip-charts with students and ask them to look at the pictures and guess what the adjectives are for each picture. Tell the students that you will play a game and ask students to look around and choose only one person in the classroom to describe. They can’t say the person’s name. Each student writes at least 3 sentences. Teacher nominates a student to read the sentences and others guess and soon.
