MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach a multi-sensory cross-curricular model. It is a delicate balance between providing appropriate challenge for kids and still letting them HAVE FUN!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I achieved National Board Certification in winter of 2011 and am very proud of this distinction! I am considered a master teacher by New Mexico's 3-tier system for teachers. I am also head of my department of 4 teachers who work with 65+ gifted children in my school.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology from University of New Mexico and bachelor's degree in Education from University of New Mexico.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am the mom of 2 wonderful gifted boys. Joseph is 13 and William is 10. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. GO LOBOS!
