3 Digit Addition Using Expanded Notation
Students practice adding two three-digit numbers by splitting each addend into expanded form and adding each place value together followed by putting the expanded form back into the base ten numeral (standard form).
These are all problems without regrouping.

Estimating Products Using Rounding Common Core Worksheet
On this worksheet students round two and three digit numbers and then multiply them by one digit numbers in order to estimate the product. I had them round to the left most digit. After, we discussed if our estimate is higher or lower than what the product of the original problem would be. Students really enjoy this because they feel smart multiplying big numbers in their head : )

100s Chart for Unifix Cubes
This mat is sized for students to count out Unifix cubes to any number on the 100s chart hopefully helping them develop a grounded sense of place value buy connecting the rows into 10s sticks.

I have created an extended practice to use for three number sense UIL topics. These practice pages include thirty questions on different types of place value representations (expanded form, expanded notation, and base ten), 26 mixed review questions for multiplication specific to the elementary number sense test, and 12 days of daily quizzes to check to make sure that your students are memorizing roman numerals and the rules for how to form numbers.

Test Taking Strategies / Follow Directions Prank/Fake Quiz
This quiz is a fun and funny way to get students to realize they need to pay attention to directions.
There is a list of numerous steps to complete, which can actually be fun for students. HOWEVER, the first step says to "read all directions before continuing" and the last step says "only do..." so most students mess this up and do all the steps as they go along. My STAR Test Goals - Student goal setting for standardized tests
This is a fully editable .DOC file that I have used to help my students set goals for their STAR test throughout the school year.
