Turquoise Boy: A Navajo Legend is written and adapted by Terri Cohlene. It’s a story of how a divine youth earned a gift of horses for the Navajo People. The crisp illustrations by Charles Reasoner are captivating. Turquoise Boy draws curious readers of all ages into a complex legacy of this Native American community. There is information about the Navajo at the back of the book. Because Turquoise Boy was published in 1990, we wonder -- "What about the past three decades?" For example, on page 4
