Vocabulary list to use in scary stories
This is a list of 16 vivid vocabulary words that will strengthen your students' scary stories. I typically use this around Halloween when I have the kids write short horror stories. The words are clearly laid out in a chart and I require the kids to pick 10 of their favorites to use in their writing. The kids enjoy using these creepy words and everyone is impressed with the creative diction in their stories.
