Fry's Sight Word Lists (1,000 words)
These sight words come from Fry's sight words list. According to Fry, the first 300 words in the list represent about 67%
of all the words students encounter in their reading.
I use these words to build fluency which we know helps build comprehension. I use flashcard and record pre and post data on sight word recognition. Once the students know the word I continue for rapid recognition. I also use these for spelling tests. I will be adding sight word games, centers, and data collection sheets

Months of the Year Mini Poster
Help your students keep those months in order! These two mini charts are made to help students spell the twelve months and to remind them which number month is which.
I hang this next to my calendar every year. It is really helpful when students want to write the date the numerical way (for example 6/12/17 instead of June 12, 2017) as they often forget which number month is which.
I also laminate it and use a wet erase marker to cross out each month as we complete it over a school year.
