The Canadian Maple Leaf is composed of several shapes extending out from it's border. In each of these shapes the student can draw a word that expresses what Canadians received as a result of the sacrifice of the soldiers who fought to defend their country or another country. Students can then fill each shape with different colours. A dictionary may come in handy when looking for appropriate words.
