Viking Wanted Poster

I created this assignment to get my students excited about our unit on the Vikings. This assignment has students create a Wanted poster as if they are a Viking being hunted down by the English. I have included an example, a blank template (where it can be altered), an outline/rubric, and a version that can be typed into. When we did this, I had the student take a picture with the Viking helmet on to include on their poster.

Do you struggle with how to co-construct class norms or rules with students in a meaningful and successful way? Even in the years in which the classes can rattle off norms or rules is it difficult to remember all of them and continue to monitor them throughout the year? This year I shifted to using class goals instead of class rules and it was incredibly successful!Science shows us that we learn best in groups, especially in groups of 3-5 so I try to not have more than 5 total values and goals.
