Shapes songs and chants

This is a PPT file that is a combination of 2 files I created. 2-d shapes set to the tune of common kids songs, complete with audio files, and 3-d shape chants. These chants and songs are simple to learn but teach the required descriptive vocabulary of vertex, vertices, straight sides, curved sides, and face for each shape. If you have a projector you can have a student follow the print with a pointer as the song is sung. Students can use the pointer to point to and count sides and vertices

Are you looking for an animated plant and number-based singing poem for your smart board? You found it! You begin with 10 seeds, sing a verse, (instruct students to count and answer questions on what will happen next), and magically a seed disappears and a flower grows! This is my first attempt at animation on PPT so I'm going to post it for free. Hope you like it!

Sung to the tune, "If You're Happy and You Know it," students will be able to see and sing the correct properties of rectangles. This simple song demonstrates that shapes that have four sides and square corners/ right angles are rectangles.
