Candy Germ Transmission
Need a fun way to teach how germs are spread? Candy Germ Transmission is a fun experiment that can work well with any age group. I use it for high school, but I have friends who have used it in elementary school as well.
The experiment uses two similar candies that are transferred between student pairs. Only a few students are "infected". By the end of the experiment your class can see how germs are spread both directly and indirectly.

Vacation Activity - Math Review (Great for State Testing Review!)
This activity requires students to think critically while using addition, subtraction, and multiplication while on "Vacation" together. I use this activity just before spring break each year for two reasons: 1) It makes a great test review just before state testing. 2) It gives students an appreciation for the sacrifices parents make to take spring break trips. The kids LOVE this activity. It's fun for me too!

Market Day in Zimbabwe: An Economic Exercise
This packet contains everything you need to show your students the principles of supply and demand, trading, and bartering.
Cards included allow your students to be foreign buyers, miners, farmers, or ranchers. Each card has a sell/trade list and a need to buy list as well. Foreign buyers will enter the game with money to spend. Locals will either export their goods to those buyers, or trade with other locals for their supplies and food.
