If you're not familiar with read in 4 voices, it's a strategy for breaking up text that comes out of EL (english learner) classrooms, but it can be useful for all learners. Two-Step Equations Magic Square
The attached activity is a 5x5 magic square that requires students to solve two-step algebraic equations. When solved correctly, each row and column will add up to the number 65. In my teaching experiences, I have found that students are more motivated to solve magic squares over traditional worksheets because there is a final "solution" similar to a Sudoku puzzle.
