Battle of the Plains of Abraham Reader's Theatre
This is a reader's theatre script that tells the story of the Battle of Plains of Abraham from both the British and French point of view. Characters include General Wolfe and his staff, General Montcalm, Governor Vaudreuil, and Bishop Pontbriand, as well as several regular soldiers on both sides of the conflict. It also included two narrator roles who explain the historical context for each scene. I wrote this while teaching my Grade Five class in Vancouver, BC. They really enjoyed it and found

Educators enjoy this creative, hilarious, well-written student script which is a fully versed Rap Battle Covering the lives of Louis Riel and John A Macdonald's conflicted past through Canadian Confederation and the Red River Rebellion. Two lead parts and 4 student actors. This would be an excellent in-class readers' theatre or you could perform for the school as all YouTube links for tech have been included.

1920s Radio Show Assignment and Rubric
Assignment for students to take on the role of 1920s radio broadcasters. Can be submitted electronically or presented live. They are to be creative but must also include several factual elements that are described in the assignment sheet. Rubric included which is broken down into knowledge, thinking, communication, and application sections.
