Students will be doing some research on three different unique buildings or structures from around the world. Included are some examples of cylinder, cone, and sphere shaped structures. Students are going to get into the mind of the architects and construction workers who designed and built these or are still in the process of building them. Basic Geometry Scavenger Hunt
This geometry scavenger hunt highlights lines, segments, rays, and angles. Students are required to locate 28 examples. Examples could be found in clothing, gift wrap or fabric, clocks, sports equipment, maps, playgrounds, etc. Once items are located, students create a picture book with titles, pictures and sentences. Alternate, supplemental and optional activities are given, including suggestions for students with student needs. A sample evaluation is provided.
