Students will work individually or in teams using various brands of crackers to explore properties of matter. Students are given a bowl with 4 or 5 cracker choices. I usually try to find ones with different shapes, colors, and textures. Students are to refrain from eating the crackers until the completion of the scientific study. My Life as a Pilgrim
This is a fun activity to have your students get a more personal experience of what life as a pilgrim was really like. Students will draw out an actual pilgrim name and will use the website link to find out who they were and why they were leaving for the New World. Students will have fun learning who they were related to -maybe even married to (Ewww!) - and what their fate is in the New World! This was a fun project that brought up great discussions.

A Day in the Life Of Pilgrim Children
Project Based Learning project on Pilgrim Children. The students use this as their planning sheet during their research. The students made pilgrims and we recorded their voices using the app "Chatterpix."
