This open-ended project is intended for use at the end of a unit on graphing and transforming trig functions.Students are instructed to find real-life data sets that can be modeled using trig functions. They plot the data, fit an equation to it, and interpolate or extrapolate a point in context. This project has students choose and fold a piece of origami. They will use the outline of the figure to create a polygon, triangulate the polygon, and use the Law of Sines and Cosines to find missing parts of triangles.
