I Do Solemnly Swear...(Statistics Project)
This is a statistics project that can be modified to fit grades 6 to 12. This can also be done by hand or in excel. It would be a great assignment to use as a unit project or as a group presentation. I created this project for my 12th grade US Government students to fit into our unit on elections, media, and politics. It should take about 6 standard class periods or 3 block periods and can be easily modified for any class size or level. This challenging project really pays dividends with your students. I have been assigning this project since 1996. Each time I have had great success. Your students will become very informed citizens in regards to elections in the United States. Watch as they debate issues with each other and their parents.
