This is my 19th year teaching American Government and American History.
In American History I am a visual Teacher. My entire back wall of the class is divided up into decades of the 20th century with photos and themes from each decade. I use power points with many video clips for each decade. I love to get the kids up out of their seats whether it be teaching the "Charleston" from the 1920's or the "Thriller" dance from the 1980's. In American Government it is Current Events discussions every day and relating what is going on in our government currently to what the student is learning in the course.
I have been chosen as a top 10 teacher at my High School on five different occassions. I have attended OEA representative assemblies and the 2012 & 2013 NEA National Conventions in Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, Georgia.
I am an education major from Ohio University and I have a Master in the Art of Teaching degree from Marygrove College.
I love POLITICS and photography. I have a rambunctious and silly six year old who keeps me young:)
