The back of the worksheet (separate download, also free on my page) is a planning sheet for the students to create the "next thing in music technology". This makes for an easy sub plan. With this, I have my students write an advertisement for their own music technology that they've come up with. I do remind my students to solve one of

Students cut out the ovals and rectangles, color them, then glue themtogether to make a music note. Each student gets two of each so they can choose if they want a quarter note or an eighth note pair. There is an option to print a music staff and not cut it out OR to print the lines on black paper and cut them out. I print on black paper so I can create a piece of music on the wall! There is also a treble and bass clef.
