Irish Chain Novel Study with answers
The book Irish Chain by Barbara Haworth-Attard is an amazing story told through the eyes of a dyslexic girl during the First World War. It tells the story of the Halifax explosion and how this young girl navigates the losses in her life. The comprehension questions are written for upper intermediate and answers are supplied. Students are encouraged to answer with details and also write a weekly personal response to their reading. It is suggested that the book be done over four weeks.

This is a medicine wheel that is used to show the cycle of the seasons. The center represents Mother Earth and the connections between each of these elements. I used images that represent each season in North America.
