This tarsia activity is an engaging way that students can collaborate to solve the puzzle. Students will add and subtract mixed numbers or fractions, find the answer and connect the pieces. Once the pieces are connected correctly, a larger triangle will be formed. For my classroom, I printed these on card stock, then laminated, and cut apart. As I cut out each sheet, I used like stickers on the back, just in case a piece gets misplaced.
