This is a book with each of the 26 letters of the alphabet as a word and a Microsoft Word Clipart picture to match the sound of the letter. Use this book to practice letter sounds and letter connections to pictures. This is how the song goes: "Aa is for apple, /a/ /a/ apple, Bb is for ball, /b/ /b/ ball, Cc is for cat, /c/ /c/ cat...etc." The students really enjoy learning and singing along and they even use the song later to think of a specific sound for a letter. This is a great song to encourage our youngest students to sing! I use an owl puppet to sing the song to the students. Students must respond to whatever the owl ask them to sing. Examples include but are not limited to, their name, favorite color, favorite food, favorite animal, favorite season, and much more!
