Students will answer document based questions on the famous painting "Drafting the Declaration of Independence" by Newell Convers Wyeth. The questions require students to analyze the painting and is an excellent way to introduce the writing of the Declaration of Independence to students, especially younger students and struggling readers, since art is not as intimidating as a long article or reading passage. Correlates to GA standard SS4H4b.
