Students research the Dirty War of Argentina, including topics of Los Desaparecidos (The Disappeared) and Las Madres de la Plaza. They connect that information to what happened with the Iguala kidnappings of Mexico in 2014 and what is happening with ISIS. Also asks students to look up #todossomosayotzinapa on Instagram/Twitter and report back with findings, as well as visit various videos to learn more.

Brazilian music piece for SATB choir
This is a super fun and very different selection for your SATB choir repertoire! A folkloric style of music from the Northeast of Brazil, this is a classic piece of forro music. The traditional instrumentation for forro music is accordion, a bass drum called zabumba, and triangle, and all are scored as (optional) accompaniment for this piece of choral music.
