I created this so that students have a guideline for researching on the internet. When given free range, they struggled to come up with a topic or know where to look. I created this chart for them to document what they know and what to learn, as well as 'starter topics' for them to research. Once they've found things that interest them, they write them on the topic sides and document their research.

Center Roles Week 1 - 4

Use these center roles to assign each student a rotating role. The roles are: 1. Author (recorder/writes/types) 2. Illustrator (draws/prints artwork) 3. Librarian (gets books off shelves) 4. Questioner (gets other supplies and asks librarian/teacher/other adult when there are questions) Use the roles Week 1 - 4 in order, and then start over. I have included an avatar of myself to show as an example, and you can find pictures or clip art that suits your tastes to include for each role!

This is the first Geocaching quest card in a Science/Geography unit on Living things and how they adapt to suit their environment. This card is to be added to the unit's first geocache before giving the students the coordinates. On this editable card you'll have to insert your own school/town map and position the numbers in the correct location (on a landmark). Then you need to edit the clues to suit the landmark. I've left an example of what you could do. The aim of this card is for students to
