TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a 11th year Kindergarten teacher at a public school. Prior to joining my district, I worked as an early childhood teacher in traditional and Montessori Pre-K classrooms.

MY TEACHING STYLE

At its root, kindergarten should be a fun and memorable period of discovery. I always include arts and crafts, hands-on work centers for literacy and math, time to play, and time to sing and dance. I think young children learn best when they are making, doing, and exploring. My classroom style can be summed up as "worksheet free as much as can be."
