Design your own Viking Helmet! Leif Erickson Day is October 9th of each year. Celebrate by designing your own helmets to cut out and wear!Students color the viking helmet. Cut out the strips and glue or tape the ends of each strip together and to the helmet. Adjust the size of the helmet to any size head by cutting away the excess in each strip. Enjoy!

Speech Activity: Lip Sync Battle!
I use this activity as a fun way to improve nonverbal delivery skills. It could be used at virtually any time during the year, and might be a fun activity after testing or for the end of school. Additionally, I normally reserve an empty cafeteria or auditorium in order to give students plenty of room to practice. My students are actually excited to come to class when I introduce this!
