I have been teaching English and Drama now for ten and a half years.
I love to think up ways to engage and support students of all different learning styles. I spend a lot of time locating engaging texts from a variety of sources and creating lessons around those texts that empower students and ask them to think deeply. I do my best to give students the tools to learn and grow, as well as motivate them to do both. I'm also a great believer in fun in the classroom. Lessons do not have to be dry and dull in order for them to to be rigorous, but you already know this; after all, you shop at TPT. Okay, I will now officially get off my soapbox. Thanks for stopping by!

I have a bachelor's degree in English and in Theatre. I have a master's degree in English Literature with a certificate in the teaching of Rhetoric and Composition.
Before I taught, I acted in a number of plays and in an improv company. I always loved to write and penned a couple of plays (one was okay), several short stories, and a lot of essays! I also worked as a teacher's aide in a county classroom serving children with special needs. My husband and I are extremely proud of our three nearly grown sons.
