This fun and engaging Reader's Theater Newscast was ALWAYS a class favorite. I wrote this while teaching fifth grade but used it mostly with fourth graders. Students loved developing their English accents and took great pride in the "finished product". Characters such as Sir Francis Drake, Queen Elizabeth I, King Philip II of Spain and Pocahontas are only part of the many historic "cast" members.
